Mr. Bern Josep Persia presented AI in Marketing, demonstrating how AI-powered tools can be utilized for digital marketing, content creation, social media management, audience targeting, and data-driven decision-making to effectively promote tourism products and destinations.

Meanwhile, Mr. Juven Casapao shared his expertise on AI and Business Operations, focusing on how businesses can leverage AI technologies to improve efficiency, automate routine processes, optimize workflows, and support strategic planning.

The workshop was attended by local tourism stakeholders of Puerto Galera, including representatives from accommodation establishments, dive shops, tour operators, tourism-related enterprises, and community organizations. Participants actively engaged in discussions and explored ways to integrate AI-driven solutions into their respective operations.

Present during the activity was Municipal Tourism Operations Officer Mary Christine C. Ibon, who emphasized the importance of equipping tourism stakeholders with the knowledge and skills necessary to embrace innovation and remain competitive in an increasingly digital tourism landscape.

The event was further graced by the presence of Municipal Administrator Carmela Leviste Datinguinoo, whose attendance highlighted the local government's continued support for capacity-building initiatives that strengthen the tourism sector and promote inclusive growth.

One of the highlights of the municipality’s World Tourism Month celebration, the workshop reflects Puerto Galera’s continuing efforts to prepare its tourism industry for the future by embracing technology, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and promoting innovative approaches to destination management and marketing.

As Puerto Galera continues to position itself as a premier tourism destination, initiatives such as the Smart Tourism Workshop: Moving Toward a More Connected Puerto Galera demonstrate the municipality's commitment to empowering stakeholders through technology and ensuring that the local tourism sector remains adaptive, resilient, and globally competitive.

The workshop served as an important step toward building a more connected, innovative, and future-ready Puerto Galera, where technology and tourism work hand in hand to create meaningful experiences for visitors and sustainable opportunities for the local community.
